Job Summary:

Develop shop drawings and operation and maintenance manuals, assist the Quoting and Sales Departments on projects, and create Submittals for all divisions of Etna as needed.

  • Meet or exceed the expectations of our customers by providing a positive customer experience.
  • Communicate courteously, effectively, and professionally with internal and external customers.
  • Review project documents and understand scope of work to bid.
  • Obtain specification drawings from vendors or computer database.
  • Prepare shop drawings, submittal documents, and operation and maintenance manuals accurately and efficiently.
  • Meet or exceed required customer deadlines.
  • Maintain organized digital files with the required information.
  • Maintain working knowledge of commercial plumbing projects, PVF Mechanical, Underground, Heating, HVAC, obtained through manufacturer trainings, web trainings, experience, etc.
  • Inform supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or computer database.
  • Track and input activities into the department’s job tracking system.
  • Assist the Quoting/Sales departments with projects as required.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Work safely.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of products sold and their applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, deadlines, and easily adapt to changing situations.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, customer service, detail-orientation, teamwork, judgement, problem solving, and stress management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Eclipse, Submittal 123, and Adobe Professional.
  • Effective and professional business writing skills.
  • Effectively read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
  • Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide with or without using a calculator.
  • Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; or
  • Six months to a year of related experience and training; or
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education.

Certificates and/or Licenses:

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
