Job Summary:
The Director of Supply Chain Management will be an integral part of the leadership team at DeWys Manufacturing. This role will be responsible for decisions that affect P&L outcome as well as responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of supply chain operations, including Scheduling/Demand Planning, Receiving, Purchasing, Shipping and Logistic teams. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials, products, and information from suppliers to customers while managing costs, quality, and risks effectively.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Supply Chain Strategy: Develop, lead, and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with the company’s objectives, including sourcing strategies, inventory management, and distribution plans.
· Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate major contracts, and monitor performance to ensure on-time deliveries, quality, and cost effectiveness / ease of business, including vendor scorecard and rating systems.
· Inventory Control: Accountable for overall inventory valuation and accuracy. Implement inventory management best practices to minimize carrying costs, reduce excess stock, and ensure adequate levels to meet customer demand.
· Logistics and Transportation: Oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to optimize efficiency, reduce lead times, and control transportation costs through all DMS companies.
· Demand Planning / Scheduling: Oversee the process of publishing obtainable schedules while fulfilling customer demand. Forward looking analytics to identify bottleneck processes/labor shortages identifying resources required for action by leadership. Secure both internal and external customers through level load bucket management.
· Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with business development and demand planning team to develop accurate demand forecasts, ensuring the availability of products to meet customer needs.
· Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain and implement strategies to reduce operational expenses while maintaining product quality and service levels.
· Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as disruptions, shortages, and quality issues, to minimize their impact on operations.
· Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability. Responsible for team & individual plans, cross training, and building bench strength.
· Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve supply chain performance, efficiency, and effectiveness.
· Profitability: Develop, lead, and execute programs and processes that will help drive overall company profitability. Areas of focus should include, but not be limited to, management of team headcount, maximizing facility space and ROI, lean initiatives, labor efficiencies, automation, and operational excellence.
· Market Expert: Be viewed as the subject matter expert. Keep the team and company abreast of any changes in market trends or indicators. Advise the company as to where the market is going and identify opportunities to capitalize or protect.
· Compliance and Sustainability: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards while promoting sustainability initiatives within the supply chain.

Requirements
Qualifications:
· BA/BS in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
· 10+ years of proven work experience in supply chain management, with a proven track record of success in leadership roles.
· APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred, but not required.
· Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in supply chain management.
· Knowledge and experience with team development.
