Sales support analyst is responsible for supporting the day-to-day sales activities from order management to invoice through delivery. This role, through their active support, will look for areas of optimization in order to increase sales efficiency and ensure our processes are working as expected ensuring we are meeting and exceeding the needs of our customers and sales teams. This role involves close collaboration with various teams, including North American divisions, shared services sales teams, Supply Chain, Transportation and various business teams, to ensure seamless sales processes and provide expert-level support. This role demands a deep understanding of both business processes and SAP and expertise in problem-solving abilities.
Essential Functions:
- Proactively monitor critical sales processes within the system, such as inbound orders and outbound confirmations, to identify and resolve potential bottlenecks or issues
- Supports business on active issues around sales activities including order entry and supporting data such as listings, substitutions, order guides/item proposals and contract lists.
- Supports business on after-the-fact “what happened to” my order and invoices related to pricing, rejections or delivery.
- Engaged in cross-workstream activities such as the transportation team for holiday routing or MDG team on data issues and opportunities.
- Thoroughly document system issues identified through support activities and work closely with Operate on impact, issue clarification and influencing priority of issues with respective workstream.
- Stay highly connected with multiple workstreams such as Order To Cash and Supply Chain on system changes to ensure they have visibility of changes to system behavior.
- Support sales on recovery activities due to system bugs or outages which may include activities such as communication, data identification and/or support of mass credit/debits
- Help drive opportunities along with OTC and other workstreams around order/data cleanup activities
- Help to identify and create knowledge documents to ensure we are building our support library which will be leveraged in Service Now and to build our repository for various AI use cases.
- Participates in situation meetings to provide IT Team updates and provide coordination of customer communications and resolution activities
- Participates in root cause analysis (RCA) as applicable
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
- A skilled communicator, able to clearly articulate complex ideas both verbally and in writing, and critical problem solving skills
- A highly organized and adaptable individual, capable of juggling multiple priorities, thriving in a fast-paced environment, and seamlessly transitioning between independent and collaborative work.
- Experience with SAP SD and pricing modules and related applications integrated with SAP.
- A deep understanding of sales processes, ideally gained through hands-on experience
- Functional proficiency in the GFS SAP OTC design with a solid understanding of how the system is configured or enhanced in order to provide expert support and recommendations.
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field required
