Clark Retirement Community is seeking a reliable and dedicated Grounds Technician to maintain the beauty and functionality of our outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will be responsible for landscaping, lawn care, and general maintenance of grounds, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors. The Grounds Technician is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the communities' ground sand outdoor spaces, including but not limited to, lawn care, snow/ice prevention, snow removal, landscaping, fall cleanup and trash removal.

Essential Job Functions
- Maintains the grounds throughout the entire year to ensure the community’s outdoor spaces are clean, well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing
- Mows lawns and green spaces, using equipment such as push or power mowers.
- Removes weeds and trims and edges around walkways, flower beds and walls, using clippers, weed cutters and edging tools.
- Waters lawn and shrubs, using hose or by activating sprinkler system.
- Applies pesticides and other treatments to lawns and shrubs.
- Maintains proper operations of water wells, irrigation systems, ponds, and lake aerators as needed
- Cleans and maintains outdoor furniture, fountains, gazebos and other outdoor furnishings.
- Collects and disposes of leaves, branches and other items during fall clean-up.
- Removes trash and ensures proper disposal, recycling and/or scrapping. Ensures proper operation of trash compactors.
- Removes snow from sidewalks and parking lots and distributes salt on sidewalks and parking lots in preparation for inclement weather.
- Installs and removes holiday décor and displays such as Christmas lights and other decorations
- Ability to work between the Franklin and Keller Lake Campus
Required: high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must be able to acquire sufficient knowledge and learn new skills through on-the-job training and instructions to satisfactorily meet job performance requirements.
Preferred: Prior professional groundskeeping experience, clean driving record, plowing experience
