We are hiring a Dealer Business Manager on our Centralized Sales team to partner with dealer leadership to drive Steelcase sales through assigned dealers. Your objective is to ensure dealers meet sales goals and sell the complete Steelcase portfolio of products.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of customer facing sales or sales support experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the contract furniture industry
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
- Experience working within a dealer model
Desired Skills and experience:
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Thorough understanding of the Steelcase sales process
- Self-motivated, self-directed and willing to accept responsibility for results
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Able to lead and influence others without direct reporting relationship
- Able to proactively recognize dealer needs (e.g., training and support) and align resources to meet them
- Able to create “win/win” situations & be viewed as the “dealer advocate”
- Sets high goals and standards for self and others in the organization.
- Self-starter; committed to excellence: accuracy in work and attention to detail
- Must have a broad exposure and understanding of corporate strategies
- Extensive management skills for coordination of large projects using a multi-disciplined team approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CRM
What You Will Be Doing:
· Partner with assigned Steelcase dealers to build alignment, develop sales, and promote key products, programs and initiatives.
· First point of contact for dealers for unassigned new & existing dealer business opportunities.
· Own relationships with your assigned dealers and dealer leaders to build trust and alignment.
· Direct sales strategies as part of the Steelcase selling process and be the voice of the dealer within Steelcase.
· Accountable for sales results, discount targets, and key measures for your assigned dealers.
Your Future Team:
· The Centralized Sales Team is a group of about 25 experienced, passionate sales folks that exist as a bridge between our dealers and Steelcase Grand Rapids.
· Our team is designed to allow field-based sales to maximize their face-to-face interaction with local customers & influencers while providing best in class support to our dealers.?
· Our proximity to GR allows an in-depth knowledge of all the resources designed for dealers?.
It allows easy access & strong relationships with the corporate teams like Order Fulfillment, Pricing & Contracts, Channel, Credit and Product Management?.
· Our dealer relationships allow us to complete the feedback loop back to Steelcase GR. ?
· Being co-located with the whole DBM team (with a wide range of cross functional backgrounds) allows for maximum best practice sharing and resource standardization?.
