General Responsibilities:
This position encompasses the responsibility of all tasks in association with Retail Services and supporting all branches.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities are to supervise, monitor, train and develop the staff of United Bank of Michigan to provide for sustained growth and profitability of its deposit products, treasury management services, wealth management and retail loan products. Other duties include: creating, developing, maintaining and monitoring policies, monitors overall asset quality of consumer loans, implementing training and incentive programs, the purchasing and monitoring of all software in these areas, analyzing history and trends and developing sales programs and general monitoring of all Federal, State or Local laws to ensure compliance. Serves as a member of the Senior Management Group, Compliance Committee, ALCO Committee, Information Technology and Disaster Recovery Committee and Robbery Team. Responsible for areas of compliance as it relates to Retail Administration. Undertakes special projects relating to departmental services as assigned.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the direct supervision of certain positions within the Branch Administration department. This position is also responsible for direct supervision of the following subordinate supervisors departments: Branches, Consumer Lending, Business Development, and the Wealth Management relationship with Ameriprise Financial.
Education and/or Experience:
Master’s degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents including financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to make effective presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and analysis of variance. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define and solve intellectual and practical problems and deal with variety of variables in situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Must have the ability to multi-task, manage remote locations, delegate, Networking and have excellent writing skills.
Other Qualifications:
Must be proficient in Micro-soft Office Suite and have transportation to remote locations.
