Steelcase is hiring a team of Corporate Security Field Officers in Kentwood, MI that will be responsible for monitoring all security systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring a safe environment for employees. Team members will have the opportunity to contribute to higher-level projects and contribute to the success of the team and ensure the safety of 12,000 employees.
What to know about this role:
- We are hiring for three shifts: 7am - 3pm / 3pm - 11pm / 11pm - 7am
- Rotation: 7 days on, 2 week days off followed by 8 days on, 4 days off (includes weekend)
- On-site full-time between 52nd St plant and GRBC location
What You Will Be Doing:
- Responds to emergency incidents including security, fire, medical, and hazardous material spills
- Responsible for monitoring activities of the Security Operation Center including critical life-safety systems and processes
- Performs all duties involved with trailer shipment coordination and visitor management functions
- Collaborate with team members and internal departments for initiating and completing improvement-based projects
- Provides professional and welcoming security presence while promoting Steelcase brand
Who You Are:You are a self-driven security professional with a passion for safeguarding property, people, and brand. You value strong written and verbal communication skills, thorough investigations, and relationship development to provide a trusted sense of security to those around you.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Must complete and maintain certification in CPR, AED, & First Aid through the American Red Cross
- Ability to lift greater than 25 lbs.
- Position requires extensive walking and standing
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years security experience
- Experience in investigative techniques and report writing
- Experience working with security systems
