Organizational Development Consultant - Organizational Development * Days - 40hrs/wk

General Summary:

The OD Consultant is an individual with strong interpersonal and organizational skills who will play a role facilitating the programs associated with all training related activities handled by the Regional Organizational Development (OD) team. Regional programs include but are not limited to: New hire and new leader orientation, Learning Management System (LMS) administration, leadership development cohorts, recognition programs, mentoring, performance management, change management and engagement survey support. Working as a trusted advisor to collaborate with all levels of leadership, utilizes appropriate OD models, tools and systemic approaches to drive initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness. Teaches, guides and coaches others effectively to facilitate change and organizational performance.

  • Strong interpersonal communication/customer service
  • Strong computer skills including word, excel, and powerpoint
  • High degree of analytical ability, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
  • Maintain a current knowledge base of use of standards professional practice, pursing self-directed learning, and continuing education opportunities.

Education:

Must meet one of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development or closely related field and a minimum of 3-year experience working in human resources, organizational development or relevant training/development role
  • Associate's degree in human resources or closely related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in human resources, organizational development, or relevant training/development role.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provides learning solution consulting services for the deployment of existing solutions, and/or the assessment of learning needs and/or knowledge or skill gaps.
  • Create course content and learning activities, both e-learning and instructor led.
  • Expertly facilitates select leader development-based content and builds effective relationships with learning experience participants at various organizational levels including clinical and non-clinical colleagues, leaders, senior leaders, physicians, etc.;
  • Designs and implements organizational development initiatives aimed at maximizing team member engagement and performance.
  • Assists with the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), performance management, and team member engagement systems.
  • Participate or lead committees, project teams, or other special assignments as needed.
  • Assist with the planning, coordinating and facilitation of New Leader Orientation and other Organizational Development and educational Programs, including participant tracking and reporting.
  • Works in a safe manner and promptly reports any hazards identified in the work environment or related to assigned responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and maintains and respects patient right to privacy by following the HIPAA Privacy and Security policies and procedures.
